Entry to Campus Protocol including Symptom Screening

Students are encouraged to perform daily health screenings for infectious diseases, including COVID-19, and to stay home or seek medical care for any symptoms identified.

Reporting a Positive COVID-19 Case

The "Report a Positive COVID-19 Case" form is available via the MyCompton portal and includes questions necessary to determine quarantine and isolation guidelines and assist with contact tracing.

Quarantine/Isolation

Refer to the LACDPH "COVID-19 Guidance for Education" (updated 4/3/2024). These guidelines aim to support safe in-person learning in LA County by detailing preventive strategies and actions. They apply to Early Care and Education (ECE) sites, TK-12 schools, youth programs, and Institutes of Higher Education (IHE).

Masks In most circumstances, masking may be recommended for individuals in the community based on the level of COVID-19 in the community, as reported by weekly CDC COVID-19 Hospital Admission Levels.

Wearing a mask is a great way to reduce the spread of respiratory infections, including COVID-19. Click here to view the LACDPH Mask guidance.
Physical Distancing

There are no mandates at this time to impose physical distancing requirements or capacity limits, beyond maximum capacity set by the fire marshal.

Building/Campus Access
  • Students are permitted to enter any open offices/buildings as needed to attend class or receive in-person services.
  • Students are not permitted to attend classes in which they are not officially registered.
