6:00 p.m. (parking will open at 4:00 p.m. for grads and guests); we estimate the ceremony to be over by 8:00 p.m.

Commencement Ceremony Livestream

The June 12 ceremony will be broadcast live on the Compton College YouTube channel.

Class of 2026 and Ceremony Photos

Photos of the Class of 2026 graduates and the ceremony will be available on the Compton College Flickr channel 1-2 weeks after the ceremony.

Commencement Program: Graduates and guests will receive one complimentary commencement program per adult at the ceremony.

Guests:
Stadium gates open at 4:30 p.m.
-- No limit of guests per graduate. No tickets necessary.
-- Guests will be unable to save seats for their party, as seating is available on a first-come basis.
-- Seating for guests with disabilities is available at the top of each section. Able-bodied guests may sit in the seats directly below the designated seating areas. Event staff will help you find proper accessible seating.
-- Balloons, banners, umbrellas and air-horns are prohibited.
-- All guests entering Walter Pyramid are subject to a metal-detector screening, visual inspection, and bag inspection. CSULB reserves the right to enforce their Clear Bag policy. Click here for details.
-- Long Beach State Disability Information (ADA seating, Disabled Parking) 

Food/Drinks: Outside food and drink are prohibited. Exceptions may include: Items deemed necessary due to dietary needs, religious requirements, or medical conditions.

Lost & Found: All lost and found items will be turned into Beach Athletics Lost & Found at the end of the event.


Graduates:

RSVP to Confirm Participation in the Ceremony: Graduates are asked to RSVP so we have an accurate headcount for the ceremony and reception; guests are not required to RSVP.

Rehearsal
: Attend a virtual Grad Info session to learn what to expect at the ceremony.

Virtual Grad Information Sessions: Will be held on May 21, May 28, June 4 and June 11 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. via Zoom Meeting (Meeting ID and Passcode to be provided soon.). Please be sure to attend one or all of the info sessions to learn more about what to expect at commencement.
                                           
Caps & Gowns and Class of 2026 Packages: Class of 2026 Grad Packs are now on sale at herff.ly/compton. To guarantee delivery by June 1, order by May 3.
Or, stop by Bookstore to place a cap & gown order in-person. The last day to purchase Cap & Gown in the store is June 11, 2026 (Bldg. R). The on-campus Bookstore is open Monday-Thursday, 10am to 4pm; Fridays 10am to 2pm (closed Saturday & Sunday).

2026 Graduate Marching Instructions (available soon): Graduates, please review the 2026 Commencement Day marching instructions to ensure a smooth and memorable ceremony.

Masks: Encouraged but not required. Masks will be provided to graduates upon request.

Check In
:
-- Begin at the Welcome Area located in in front of the venue, then proceed to check-in between 4:45 - 5:45 p.m. Click here to view a map.
-- A photo ID is not required but you will be asked to provide your Compton College student ID number upon check-in.
-- Graduates should leave purses, coats, and other belongings with family members. Lockers are not available, staff will not watch your personal items during the ceremony.
-- CSU Long Beach reserves the right to enforce their Clear Bag policy. Click here for details.
-- Late Arrivals: Late arrivals must enter the stadium through the check-in area, not the guest entrance. Late arrivals will be escorted into the ceremony by Compton College event staff.

Cap & Gown and Tassel

-- Cap & gown and tassel must be worn during the ceremony.

Diplomas: Graduates participating in the commencement ceremony will receive a Compton College diploma cover. Actual degrees and certificates will be mailed in the fall semester to the address on file in your student account.
