**Notice to Applicants**
Compton College strongly recommends applicants to "opt-in" to the IDme verification
process to avoid delays in application processing and with registration. Applicants
who decide to "opt-out" of the IDme verification process will need further review
and be required to verify their identity in person at the Admissions and Records Office.

Upon completion of your online application, you will receive an email from the Admissions
& Records Office with the next steps of enrollment Please log into
MyCompton from
www.compton.edu to set up your
MyCompton account, using your Compton College email address and temporary password.

Important Application Information:
- Application filing periods will open September 1 for winter/spring and October 1 for
summer/fall.
- Applicants who submit a winter or summer application will automatically receive a
registration time ticket for the next semester.
- In order to submit an online application, you must have an active email address.
- It is important to REQUEST official transcripts from previous colleges attended. Please have transcripts sent to the
Admissions & Records Office. Compton College does not accept transcripts issued to students or other second parties. All transcripts MUST be sent directly from the other colleges or universities to the Compton College Admissions &
Records Office.
- In most cases, a high school transcript is not needed.
- All prerequisites must be cleared by a counselor. For more information on prerequisite
clearances, click here or contact the Counseling department.

New Student Information:
Within one to two business days (weekends and holidays excluded), after submitting
your application, the Admissions & Records Office will process your application and
send an email to you with information and your Compton College Student ID Number.
You will need this ID number to proceed through the steps to enrollment.
