New & Returning Students
New and returning students (those with an absence of two consecutive primary terms: fall or spring semesters; excluding summer and winter terms) must complete an online application for admission. -
Check your Email
You will receive an email with your Student ID # and further instructions within 2 business days excluding weekends and holidays. -
Transcripts
Official transcripts from all accredited colleges and trade schools attended must be submitted to the Admissions & Records Office via email, transcripts@compton.edu, or in-person in the Administration Building. -
Advanced Placement
Students applying for Advanced Placement (AP) credit must submit official copy of AP scores.

Filing Periods
Application filing periods will open September 1 for winter/spring and October 1 for summer/fall. -
Winter/Summer
Applicants who submit a winter or summer application will automatically receive a registration time ticket for the next term. -
Active Email
In order to submit an online application, you must have an active email address.
Requirements

CCCApply ID.me Identity Verification
Beginning February 2, 2024, CCCApply will be integrating identity verification through ID.me. This will help protect student identities and prevent fraudulent students from taking spots in classes at Compton College.
Documents you may use to verify identity:- Government-issued ID such as a current Driver’s License or State ID card
- Passport or Passport Card
- Permanent Resident Card
- Employment Authorization Document

Official Transcripts
It is important to request official transcripts from previous colleges attended. Please have transcripts sent to the Admissions & Records Office. Compton College does not accept transcripts issued to students or other second parties. All transcripts MUST be sent directly from the other colleges or universities to the Compton College Admissions & Records Office.
In most cases, a high school transcript is not needed. -

All prerequisites must be cleared by a counselor. For more information on prerequisite clearances, click here or contact the Counseling department. -

Upon completion of your online application, you will receive an email from the Admissions & Records Office with your Compton College student ID number. Please log into MyCompton from www.compton.edu to set up your MyCompton account, using your Compton College email address and temporary password.

3. Attend Orientation
Orientation provides an introduction to academic programs and support services to help you succeed.Orientation is only offered online via the MyCompton portal. Students must have an activated Compton College student email account to access the online Orientation.
