College Corps

What is College Corps?  

College Corps is a program funded through California Volunteers that allows students to volunteer across the local community to receive a stipend. Participating fellows can volunteer in either K-12 education, food insecurity at a food pantry, or climate action. With consistent volunteering, students can earn a stipend of up to $7,000 from start to finish. With completion of the 450 hours, students will also be eligible to receive an additional $3,000 grant towards the college of their choice.  

Primary Goals of Program 
  • Develop students’ ability to think critically about issues within their community 
  • Support students financially through providing a living stipend and educational grant  
Program Eligibility:  
  • Cal Grant/Pell grant Eligible  
  • Needs to work part time or take out loans to meet financial needs 
  • Citizen or Dreamer (AB540 student)  
  • Full time student 
Program Expectations: 
  • Complete 450 hours across the Fall & Spring semesters – 10 to 15 hours a week 
  • Complete national background & criminal history check and live scan 
  • Remain in good academic standing (2.5 GPA and above)
