Program Mapper

Explore Program Mapper today to learn all that Compton College has to offer! Program Mapper is a customized visual representation of Compton College's catalog. You will find it organized by five Guided Pathway Divisions (GPD), groups of similar programs that are designed to help you select a program of study and speed your progress towards completion. You will also find information on occupations and careers commonly associated with each program, including typical wages and the labor market demand for California.

Each pathway allows you to explore a set of program maps that show a semester-by-semester path from program entry to completion. You will also find videos and program learning outcomes that will deepen your understanding of each program and Pathway, helping you build confidence in your program choice.

General Education Patterns

IGETC (Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum) is a general education pattern that will meet all lower-division general education requirements at most California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC) campuses. Completion of the IGETC is not an admission requirement or admission guarantee for transfer to CSU or UC, nor is it the only way to fulfill the lower-division, general education requirements for CSU or UC prior to transfer. However, it may be a requirement for some programs.

CSU GE Breadth is appropriate for students who intend to transfer to a CSU. The local GE pattern is for students who intend to complete the Associate Degree at Compton College.
