Students will emerge from the program and be able to work in a variety of temperate fields - heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR). This in-demand field is growing faster than the average growth rate for all occupations - and shows no signs of slowing!
Compton College's Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Program prepares students based on Environmental Protection Agency standards. Students will learn about the energy-efficient operation of residential, commercial and industrial heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and control systems, as well as troubleshooting, installation, and service. Courses include Heating Technologies, Electric Controls, Business Mathematics, and more.
