BiographyI came to America in November 20, 1979 with my family and been in California ever since. I grew up in the Metropolis area of Los Angeles. We lived next to Paramount Studios, so I was fortunate to see film crews and shoots in the neighborhood all the time. For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher and attend University of Southern California. As life would have it, I attended USC and graduated with my bachelor's degree and became a sixth grade English and Social Studies teacher for five years. Then, I decided to get a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and then earned then received an Ed.D. in Education in Community College Leadership. I became an adjunct Counselor/Instructor since Fall 2006. I became a Basic Skills Coordinator and then was a California Community College Success Network Coordinator in Los Angeles Regional Network. Since August 2014, I have been a full time tenure track faculty member in Human Development at El Camino College Compton Center and now Compton College.
